This NEW Head of role is the Portfolio Manager for the new core Australian Equities at Cbus and forms part of the broader Australian Equities team.
This strategy is designed to take a long-term approach to investing, with low turnover expected and a small number of core long-term holdings.
You will develop, implement, and oversee the investment strategy for the ASX Core portfolio (indicatively an ASX 100 benchmarked portfolio, with some ability to invest in the ASX 100-200), ensuring alignment with the firm's overall investment philosophy and goals.
You will also undertake Australian company and sector research, as well as contributing to stock selection decisions.
The role will require collaboration, thorough bottom-up research and analysis skills, including detailed financial modelling and company research valuations for investment opportunities being considered.
You will need for your success: Demonstrated investment portfolio construction experience is essential.
Significant professional experience (anticipating 15+ years) of relevant buyside experience, with a focus on long-term investing and portfolio management.
Proven track record of managing an ASX 100 portfolio or similar, with demonstrable success achieving superior risk-adjusted returns with a long-term investment approach.
Deep understanding of the Australian Equities market including knowledge of key companies, sectors, and economic drivers.
Experience in supporting and coaching a small team of professionals.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to portfolio management and investment activities.
