About the role: The Head of Finance will manage a small finance team with ambitious goals.
This individual will take on a number of roles, from sitting on the senior leadership team and contributing to strategic planning and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement to acting as the Chief Accountant for the business—setting and reviewing budgets, preparing financial reports, and managing the finance team to ensure the business's finances are sound.
They will support commercial goals and contribute to the business's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Directors and Senior Leaders, providing financial reports and analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Leverage franchise experience to scale the business, optimise franchisee financial performance and navigate the unique challenges of a franchise-based business model.
Provide financial leadership in taking KX Pilates global, including assessing market opportunities, managing cross-border financial complexities, and ensuring compliance with international regulations.
Manage the payroll function and work closely with HR and Operations to ensure smooth financial operations, compliance with payroll regulations, and optimise company studio workforce costs.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with all relevant accounting standards and ATO rulings.
Develop and implement capital sourcing strategies, manage relationships with investors and financial institutions, and ensure optimal cash flow management to support ongoing operations and growth initiatives.
Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
About you: 10+ years' of relevant experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance, preferably in franchising.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and risk management to provide highly relevant insights into business performance.
Experience managing entire financial operations, including GL, AP, AR, billing, and payroll.
A senior leader capable of providing clear direction to the team, setting high standards, motivating, coaching and empowering the team to deliver.
Be a natural financial advisor with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Tenacity and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining focused on delivering excellence.
