We are looking for a solid Finance professional to provide strategic financial guidance to the organisation, ensuring growth and sustainability.
Working closely with the GM and reporting to the CEO, the Head of Finance will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for over 60 different entities.
Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and audit documents for management.
Develop annual budgets and forecasts, project funding, and loan drawdowns.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.
Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimise financial performance and drive business growth.
Ensure all statutory obligations are met in relation to Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Insurance, etc.
Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve business goals and deliverables.
Continuous improvement and automation of financial processes.
Regular assessment of bank loans, interest, and overdraft rates, and relevant negotiations with bankers and financial institutions.
Required skills and qualifications Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting.
CPA/CA. 10+ years' experience in a similar position and leading a team of finance professionals.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role in an SME environment.
Proficiency in finance modelling tools, e.g., MS Excel, SQL, MYOB.
Ability to keep up to date with Australian Tax Legislation, market information, and trends.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client engagement and documentation creation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to anticipate issues early.
Ability to manage a high level of complexity and uncertainty.
Strong customer focus, communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills.
