Role Overview: We're seeking a motivated Sales Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in chemical sales. This national role offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in sales, with the chance to contribute $100,000+ in annual revenue. This is a position for someone who can work independently yet values team collaboration, bringing intelligence, energy, and natural charisma to a challenging and rewarding sales environment.Key Responsibilities:Sales Execution: Drive sales within Australia, primarily in Melbourne, actively visiting and engaging with customers to achieve revenue targets.Relationship Building: Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients, leveraging your knowledge and communication skills to become a trusted resource.Market Development: Generate leads, qualify opportunities, and develop sales pipelines in related industries.Account Monitoring: Track client sales performance, gross margins, and overall account health, ensuring alignment with sales goals and providing regular updates.Autonomous Execution: Operate independently with a hands-on, coaching-oriented support system - empowerment to learn and grow without micromanagement.Performance Reporting: Provide weekly check-ins, updating leadership on sales activities, targets, and strategies.Qualifications:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in STEM, ideally with a Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering background. Lab experience is a plus.Industry Experience: 1-3 years of technical sales experience, preferably in chemical sales or similar fields.Sales Skills: Proven ability to connect, engage, and close - a confident communicator with the "gift of the gab."Professional Presence: Intelligent, presentable, and articulate - someone who can embody a professional image while fitting into a laid-back culture.Self-Starter: Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions, with a keen sense for identifying client needs and solutions.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
