About the role We are currently seekinga National Quality Engineer to join our ever-growing Rail Operations Business Unit.
With an exciting pipeline of major infrastructure projects, it's a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team and culture.
This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities Assist with the implementation of the Quality Plan and the development of quality related deliverables.
Provide advice/support to the National Quality Manager on quality-related matters.
Assist Engineering team with preparing / reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists and work packs to ensure quality requirements are captured.
Assist the Project Quality Manager with developing and implementing quality programmes to raise awareness of Quality requirements and address quality risk and issues.
Coordinate closure and ensure completeness of all Quality records.
Ensure quality issues are registered in the Corrective Actions Register or Non-conformance Report and register as required.
Investigate all non-conformances with efficiency and ensure debriefs are conducted and corrective actions are closed out.
Actively monitor the project Corrective Actions and Non-conformance Registers to ensure timely close out and measure the effectiveness to prevent re-occurrence.
Observe safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards or near misses.
About you A minimum of 2 – 3 years' construction / engineering project experience Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Construction Management Must be able to travel interstate with no restrictions and can work autonomously Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g.
ISO 9001:2015), Industry Codes and Procedures Knowledge to interpret drawings, specifications and quality records Strong Negotiation and Influencing skills Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Internal Auditor Qualification & Lead Auditor Qualification desirable.
