The Project and Briefings Officer supports the Deputy Secretary, Executive Officer and Office of the Deputy Secretary on divisional and departmental priority projects.
The Project and Briefings Officer is part of a small and adaptable team working collaboratively across a range of areas including administration, coordination of executive and ministerial correspondence, briefings and meetings, advisory, communications and events, Cabinet and Parliamentary processes and reporting.
The role is a key coordination link between the Office of the Deputy Secretary and the Office of the Secretary, other departmental divisions and Ministerial.

Project Management: Consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; produces detailed project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified; monitors performance against objectives and manages project risks and issues; ensures project objectives are met.
Advanced Computer Skills: Uses a wide range of software applications and assists others with problem-solving on these applications.

Qualifications / Specialist Expertise Qualifications - Knowledge of the department and its operating practices as well as government processes and information systems would be advantageous.
