The role is part of the Audience Analytics Centre of Excellence, within the Product and Audience Group.
The P&A group is focused on building world-class digital experiences and capabilities for realestate.com.au, Australia's largest property website and app, with over 10 million Australians visiting each month.
You'll be leading and joining a community of talented and passionate analysts to hone your craft and support your career development.
What the role is all about The Product Analytics Lead will manage a small team of data analysts and contribute to our strategic consumer product initiatives to deliver key insights, identify product opportunities, and make recommendations to optimise our product experiences and support strategic objectives.
As a hands-on role, you will work closely with Product teams and the Audience Analytics Centre of Excellence to: Lead and uplift analytics across multiple consumer product tribes focusing on timely insights and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture.
Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, marketers and marketing analytics to: Provide visibility of critical product success metrics including product funnel analysis, prospect/lead conversion, high-value action completion and consumer journey analysis.
Conduct deep dive analysis on consumers, audiences, and products to inform roadmap decisions and strategy development.
Perform OKR forecasting to guide business and team performance.
Lead a small team of analysts within a business partner operating model, serving as the analytics champion lead across working groups as required.
Develop and manage reporting & analysis dashboards for executive level presentation.
Support data integrity by assisting in the validation and creation of new tagging and tracking schemas to ensure efficient analysis and comprehensive product data coverage.
Make recommendations for enhancing product analytics capabilities and tooling to drive efficiencies and insights.
Take charge of experimentation and A/B testing techniques to improve site performance and optimise conversion rates.
Who we're looking for 3+ years of leadership experience is essential.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor a team of analysts, preferably in a data-driven environment.
Significant experience in analysis and reporting.
Proven track record of using analytical software to extract insights from data.
Proficiency in advanced SQL, including experience with data transformation and querying large databases (e.g., Google Big Query).
Expertise in web/product analytics tools: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Big Query, Snowplow, CDPs, and Optimizely (or similar platforms).
Proficiency in business intelligence systems: Experience using dashboarding tools like Tableau, Google Data Studio or Adobe Workspace for data visualization and analysis.
Curiosity and problem-solving mindset: Ability to identify and dig into consumer problems with data and insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills: Facilitate stakeholder meetings to share insights and recommend actions.
Experience managing multiple projects: Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
Hands-on experience in managing data request processes: Familiarity with establishing and optimising data request workflows to drive efficiency.
Strong attention to detail is essential.
High analytical and critical thinker with an eye for detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment: Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
