The Opportunity We are looking for proactive, curious and future-minded thinkers with a keen interest in investment fund management to join us in this unique opportunity of Senior Associate in our Credit team.
As a Senior Associate in our Credit team, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a diverse range of global fixed income and credit-focused mandates.
You'll provide essential analytical and operational support, engage in market research, and conduct thorough due diligence on investment managers.
If you have experience in institutional credit investment or structuring and are eager to contribute to a flexible and adaptable – this role is for you.
Our total portfolio approach means that you will gain exposure to and collaborate with teams across multiple asset classes and over time, you'll be able to contribute to decision making, implementation and management of the portfolio.
The key duties of the position include: Key Responsibilities As a Senior Associate, you'll: Support the Credit team in managing credit portfolios.
Provide high-level support for the development of the organisation's views and strategy on global credit.
Contribute to market research across a range of global credit sub-sectors and provide input on relative value.
Monitor industry trends and new initiatives, researching new sectors and applying findings to the portfolio as appropriate.
Deliver high-quality investment papers, research reports, and portfolio information for various constituencies.
Participate in investment due diligence processes and interface with investment managers and other market participants.
Manage smaller or routine implementation processes independently, and support senior team members on more complex processes, liaising with external advisers and internal teams as needed.
Relationship management: Build and maintain positive relationships with credit managers, advisors, investors, and other strategic and market partners.
Positively represent the Fund's external brand and reputation, including attending industry events and external presentations with support from senior team members.
Foster a collaborative work environment, building strong internal bonds within the investment team and with supporting teams.
Continuously improve our technology and tools for managing portfolio data: Manage existing portfolio data and analytics, ensuring timely and accurate data from managers, custodians, and other providers.
Assist in designing and presenting portfolio performance reports.
Work with senior team members to develop and refine new monitoring tools, liaising with investment technology and development resources as necessary.
About You To be considered for the Senior Analyst role in the Credit team, candidates should have a tertiary education in Finance or a related discipline.
While postgraduate studies or further qualifications such as CFA or CAIA are advantageous, they are not essential.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in credit investment, portfolio management, or structuring roles.
However, relevant experience in finance, consulting, or asset management, coupled with a solid understanding of the credit asset class, is also valued.
Candidates should possess a sound understanding of the credit environment, including knowledge of service providers and various operational, governance, legal, and corporate structures of investment managers and vehicles.
Experience in areas such as leveraged finance, direct lending, real estate lending, emerging markets debt, or structured credit is particularly advantageous.
Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite, especially in developing and reviewing financial models and analysis in Excel, is required.
Coding experience in Python, R, SQL is highly advantageous.
The role demands strong quantitative abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to combine numeracy with context to reach well-reasoned conclusions.
Candidates should be intellectually curious, able to deal with ambiguity, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Effective collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential attributes.
A mature and calm demeanour under pressure is also important for success in this role.
