Senior Consultant - CFO Advisory Job no: 494371 Work type: Full time Location: Melbourne Categories: Assurance & Advisory Position Summary The CFO Advisory practice at RSM consults with finance leaders on a broad range of financial accounting and reporting matters.
As a Senior within the practice, you will be responsible for delivering technical accounting solutions to clients across IFRS and other accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities: Preparation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards; Project managing timing of when financial statements need to be completed, including ensuring the flow of information to meet deadlines; Identify and address technical accounting and financial reporting issues; Ensure completion of each assignment to a high-quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines; Work and liaise with the audit team should we be the auditors for the respective client; Work with the manager around timelines for each engagement and appropriate communication to client and/or audit team on timelines; Preparation of technical position papers; Assisting clients to ensure audit readiness.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Essential Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major; Completed CA or equivalent.
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES: Essential 3-4 years' experience of financial statement preparation / external audit experience; Detailed working knowledge and application of IFRS / Australian Accounting Standards; Strong communication skills; Strong attention to detail; Strong prioritising skills; Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills; Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
