Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax and Admin Assistant to join our clients dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will support the MD and the wider team in delivering top-notch service to our clients, while also handling administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Assist with the preparation and filing of individual and trust tax returns.
Complete BAS statements.
Organise and maintain client files and documentation.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries.
Support tax professionals with research and analysis of tax-related issues.
Prepare and process billing and invoicing for clients.
The Successful Applicant The successful Tax Assistant will have 5+ years experience working in a similar tax or bookkeeping role and have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Previous experience in a public accounting firm or financial services environment is a plus.
Strong understanding of tax concepts and regulations (experience with high-net-worth individuals is advantageous).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software is a plus.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Please note, this role does require the successful candidate to be in office 5 days a week.
What's on Offer Our client has a great remuneration package on offer for the successful candidate: Salary of $80,000-$90,000 + super depending on experience.
