About the Role: As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, managing tax audits, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws.
You will develop and implement tax-efficient strategies, provide tax advice on business transactions, and collaborate with finance and legal teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
Additionally, you will identify and mitigate tax risks, conduct regular reviews of tax processes, and work closely with business units to provide tax insights and support decision-making.

Ideally, you will have hands-on corporate income tax experience for large businesses, with a solid understanding of GST, FBT, transfer pricing, and corporate tax processes.
As the go-to person for tax, you'll manage corporate tax filings for Australia and New Zealand.
You will also play a key role in tax effect accounting, reviewing ledger accounts, and supporting tax-related decisions.

What You Will Do: Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns for the region (corporate income tax, GST, payroll tax, etc.).
Prepare supporting materials for all tax filings.
Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Perform tax effect accounting and quarterly global reporting.
Administer the Multiple Entry Consolidated Tax Group.
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and post journals.
Assist in the preparation of statutory tax disclosures.
Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Provide tax advice on business transactions and restructurings.
Collaborate with local and global finance and legal teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
Identify and mitigate tax risks through robust internal controls and processes.
Conduct regular reviews of tax processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Implement best practices for tax risk management.
Work closely with business units to provide tax insights and support decision-making.
Advise on the tax implications of new projects and initiatives.
Foster strong relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
Who You Are: You will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience, including corporate income tax experience, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector within a large business.
You will also have: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA).
Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.
Understanding of the New Zealand tax environment, laws, and regulations is highly regarded but not essential.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A can-do attitude and willingness to be hands-on in delivering objectives.
Experience with international tax issues and cross-border transactions is a plus.
Familiarity with tax software and ERP systems is an advantage.
Experience in a multinational corporation is also a plus.
