The role The Head of Middle School Girls leads and supports the academic, social, and emotional development of students, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. This role involves overseeing student wellbeing, managing staff, coordinating programs, and ensuring high standards of pastoral care and educational excellence. Responsibilities Maintain and build the ethos and culture of the Girls Middle School (Years 5 – 8)Foster a culture of collaboration to drive excellence across all year levels in the Middle School Have daily management of the Girls Middle School Oversee the pastoral care, wellbeing and behaviour of students Coordinate any special events and activities occurring in the Middle School Communicate with parents regarding pastoral/academic matters Liaise with Homeroom Teachers to support age and stage appropriate delivery of curriculum This role also has a teaching load Key selection criteria A comprehensive understanding of girls' education Exemplary teaching experience Proven ability to think creatively and strategically, generating and implementing impactful ideas with skill, warmth, and positivity Strong verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills Highly organised administrative skills, including priority management VIT registration and Criminal Record Check within the last 12 months Recognised teaching qualification Postgraduate qualifications will be favourably considered About you At Haileybury we are seeking brilliant teachers.
