Life in the fast lane We are looking for our next Motorsport Operations Coordinator to join our Motorsport team.
Reporting to the Manager – Motorsport Operations, this role is responsible for the successful, safe, and timely completion of all activities associated with the operation of the track program, volunteer Marshals, and facility ordering for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
Additionally, you will: Support the Motorsport team with the organisation and coordination of bump-in of all Motorsport support categories at Formula 1 and Moto GP.
Coordinate set and pack down of the Marshal Muster at Formula 1 and Moto GP.
Coordinate the Motorsport 3rd parties including the support categories, contractors, and other specific activations which build or access the site prior to the event.
Work with all motorsport third-party suppliers to ensure the following: All compliance documents are complete End-to-end process for bump in and bump out of each supplier Assist with forklift orders for any motorsport supplier Assist with any security, cleaning, signage and facility order forms for motorsport supplier's facilities Coordination of Support Categories and demonstrations including Driver's and Rider's Parades, VIP Hot Lap program, LIVE FAST Motor Fest.
Assist in the coordination of the AGPC relationship with Motorsport Australia, MA, and PIO in relation to volunteer marshals.
To succeed in this role, you will have: Demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience of at least the last 3 years and knowledge in event management and sporting events.
Experience working with volunteers, a member-based organisation, or in sport.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people both internal and external.
Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage conflicting demands.
A full Australian Driver's License or equivalent from another state.
A current Police Check and Employee Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain).
This is a fixed-term role until the end of March 2025.
