About the role: An exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Adult Migration English Program (AMEP) Student Engagement Officer until December 2025! The Student Engagement Officer role forms part of the Box Hill Institute AMEP team and is the first point of contact for new and existing AMEP clients/prospective students.
Within this role you will be supporting the recruitment and retention of students utilising a variety of communication channels including face to face and social media.
Your role will be supporting students from non-English speaking backgrounds to ensure they are provided with relevant and reliable information in order to achieve their future vocational, educational and settlement goals.
You will be providing a high level of customer service, establishing and maintaining a positive and welcoming work and student environment on site.
You will liaise with the customer service team and teaching staff and provide strategies to actively engage students in their current AMEP course as well as monitoring class attendance, checking eligibility and assist with registration processes, scheduling assessments and various administration duties.
Within this role you will also provide translation/interpreting support for Box Hill Institute departments as required as well as having the opportunity to engage with the CALD community groups and provide leadership groups with relevant trends and suggestions which would apply to that particular cohort.
Please note; This position is full time, fixed term until December 2025- based at our City Campus.
Salary for this role is PACCT 3 $59,597.74 plus superannuation.
About You: Demonstrated experience within a similar role Experience in AMEP, SEE or any other English Language Tuition program (highly desirable) Fluency in a language other than English (highly desirable) High level customer service experience; confident and courteous when dealing with people at all levels Demonstrated experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds Ability to listen and deliver on clients/customer needs and actively seeks to deliver high quality outcomes Experience in working collaboratively as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated ability to learn new systems/applications quickly About Us: We are proud to be a leading education provider with a strong reputation for delivering high quality educational outcomes.
